That’s right! We are giving out a $1,000 REWARD to the 1st person to run a 5 second 1/4 mile pass with a traditional V8 Pontiac Powered race car!
This is one of the last few “milestones” in Pontiac performance yet to be reached. Due to the importance of this accomplishment and the fact that we are giving away a $1,000 cash prize the rules for submission are slightly different. Along with your time slip you must include the following required information:
- Driver name
- Time slip of the run with car # on slip (car # must match pictured car’s car #)
- Picture of car with the car # clearly displayed (car # must match car # on time slip)
- Type of Car – ie. Dragster, Funny Car, Pro Mod, Tube Chassis Firebird etc
- Car with a body are required to be Pontiac body
- CID of engine
- Block used – only blocks with 4.620 bore spacing can be used – traditional Pontiac blocks
- Naturally Aspirated or Power Adders Used
- Number of carbs / induction – ie. fuel injection, single 4, dual 4, etc.
- Date of run – normally on time slip
- Location of run – normally on time slip
- Cylinder Heads used
- Video of the pass REQUIRED!
- Video of the engine REQUIRED!
- The run must be made on or after May 5th 2014
If you are currently an Elite 10 Member we probably have a lot of this information on you already. If you are not an Elite 10 Member please go to the rules page and download one of the Elite 10 Information Forms. The payout will me made only when fPe is satisfied that all of the above mentioned requirements have been met. The cash payout will be made ONLY to the driver of the record setting car and there will only be one payout.
We currently have a few other sponsors we are talking to regarding increasing this payout… stay tuned as the REWARD may increase! Please note that we reserve the right to change these rules at any time and without notice.
