Jeff  Kauffman of Kauffman Racing Equipment is certainly no newcomer to the list.  Over the years Jeff has held many of the top spots on The Elite 10 as well as the Top 10 NA list.  He and his brother Mark Kauffman own and operate Kauffman Racing Equipment and between the 2 of them, hold many of our Pontiac records.  2014 was quite a year for Jeff Kauffman.  He was the first to do the following:

  • Run over 230 mph in a Pontiac powered race car
  • Run over 240 mph in a Pontiac powered race car
  • Run the 1st 5 second Pontiac powered pass

The current record is 5.835 @ 244.43 mph

Jeff’s record setting / first 5 second Pontiac powered pass  was 5.991 pass at 236.51 put him in the #1 spot on 9/05/2014!

First car ever was a '67 GTO that I bought and restored in 1989 when I was 17. I have been racing since 1989 and loved the Pontiac hobby ever since. I built my first dragster in 1992 from scratch and started bracket racing heavily in the chase of going faster and faster. Pretty much lived at the track for a long time. I had the racing bug pretty bad! Then I got involved into engine building in the early 90's and by the mid '90s Kauffman Racing Equipment was formed. The rest is history after that. Hammered down and put the nose to the grind stone, chasing power and speed with Pontiacs!
